    Why Us

    Why Choose Us

A few reasons customers across Berkshire & Surrey choose us:

    • Checkatrade-approved, so our past work and reviews are there for you to check before you commit
    • One team handles your driveway from groundwork to finish, with a single point of contact throughout
    • We install proper edge restraints so the gravel doesn't spread onto paths, borders or the road
    • We prepare a compacted sub-base so the drive drains well and doesn't develop ruts or soft patches

    What Affects the Price

Every job is different, so we quote after we've seen the site. The main factors are:

    • The size of the driveway and how much excavation is needed
    • The surface you choose (block paving, resin bound or gravel)
    • Access for machinery and how the old surface and spoil are removed
    • Any drainage, kerbing or steps the site needs

    FAQ

    Gravel Driveways Questions

    Does gravel grow weeds?

A properly prepared gravel driveway with a membrane beneath the sub-base significantly reduces weed growth. Some occasional maintenance around edges is still worthwhile over time.

Does a gravel driveway drain well?

Yes, gravel drains freely on its own, which is one of its advantages over solid surfaces. Good sub-base preparation helps it drain evenly rather than pooling in low spots.

Will I need to top up the gravel over time?

Some settling and displacement is normal with any gravel driveway, and an occasional top-up keeps it looking its best. Stabilisation grids reduce how often this is needed.

Do you remove the old driveway before laying gravel?

Yes. Excavation, removal of the old surface, and clearing the site afterwards are all included in the quote.

Do you lay gravel driveways for businesses as well as homeowners?

Yes. Alongside domestic driveways, we carry out commercial gravel surfacing for businesses in your area.
