    The Process

    How It Works

    1. 1

      Survey and quote

We visit your local property, assess the work needed, and give you a written, itemised quote.

    2. 2

      Foundations (new walls)

For new walls, we excavate and lay foundations suited to the height and load.

    3. 3

      Build or repoint

We construct new brickwork, or rake out and repoint failed mortar joints on existing walls.

    4. 4

      Finish

We clean down and check the finish blends with the surrounding property.

    Why Us

    Why Choose Us

A few reasons customers across Berkshire & Surrey choose us:

    • Checkatrade-approved, so our past work and reviews are there for you to check before you commit
    • We build new walls on properly prepared foundations, not just on the existing ground
    • We carry out repointing to restore older brickwork, not just new-build work
    • We match brick colour, bond and mortar style to existing work wherever possible

    What Affects the Price

Every job is different, so we quote after we've seen the site. The main factors are:

    • The scope of the project and how much of the garden is involved
    • Groundworks, drainage and any level changes
    • The materials and structures you choose
    • Access to the garden for machinery, materials and waste

    FAQ

    Brickwork Questions

Do I need planning permission for a garden wall?

Garden walls up to two metres high, or one metre next to a road used by vehicles, generally don't need planning permission. We'll flag anything you need to check when we survey your local property.

Is it worth repointing brickwork rather than rebuilding?

In most cases, yes, provided the bricks themselves are sound and it's the mortar that's failed. Repointing is usually more cost-effective than a full rebuild and can significantly extend the life of a wall.

    Can I repoint brickwork myself?

It's possible for small, straightforward areas, but getting the mortar mix, colour match and joint profile right takes some experience, and poor repointing can trap moisture and cause further damage. For anything beyond a very small patch, it's worth having it assessed professionally.

Do you match the brick and mortar to my existing wall?

Yes, wherever possible. We assess the existing brick colour, bond and mortar style on site before quoting, so new work or repairs blend in rather than standing out.

Do you carry out brickwork for businesses as well as homeowners?

Yes. Alongside residential gardens, we carry out brickwork for commercial sites in your area.
